As a techno-functional Oracle Fusion architect, I’ve worked across several implementation and upgrade projects, helping different teams roll out a wide range of functionalities.
When it comes to interviews, instead of simply saying “I implemented this feature because the business asked for it,” it’s far more powerful to frame your experience as LPI (Low-Price Impact) or KPI-driven achievement stories.
This shifts the focus from what you built to what actually improved because of your work — the efficiency gains, the automation value, the time saved, or the accuracy increased. That’s what truly stands out.
In this post, I’ll share some of my own examples and how I turn project work into clear, outcome-driven stories. It’s a simple change in narrative, but it makes a huge difference in how your experience is perceived
Across my recent Source-to-Pay implementations in Oracle Fusion, most of my impact has been around automation, cycle-time reduction, and data accuracy.
On the procurement side, I reduced the Requisition-to-PO cycle time by about 30–40% by cleaning up category setups, simplifying approvals, and enabling auto-PO creation for catalog items.
In Payables, I improved the touchless invoice rate from roughly 40% to about 70% by tuning IDR, fixing supplier sites, and tightening PO/receipt matching. That also brought down invoice exceptions by nearly 25%.
On integrations, I stabilized Coupa/Supplier onboarding flows in OIC and achieved a 95–99% first-pass success rate through stronger validations and error-handling.
Another key achievement was a custom supplier onboarding extension we built using VB Studio. It automated compliance checks like SOC certificates and third-party assessments. That alone reduced manual validation by around 60% and cut onboarding time almost in half.
Finally, by correcting SLA rules and improving accounting events, we reduced AP-to-GL reconciliation time by 30%, which really helped Finance during month-end.
Overall, my focus has been bringing measurable efficiency and control across the S2P lifecycle.”
A lot of us do really good work, but the way we present it makes all the difference. Try shifting the narrative next time, and you’ll be surprised at how much stronger your impact comes across
Hope This helps . happy Learning
